William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was born in 26 April 1564 and died in 23 April 1616. He was an English poet and a  playwright. HE was a greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. William was mostly called the "Bard of Avon" and England's national poet. His works includes some collaborations,consist of about 154 sonnets, 38 plays and many other poems. His playwright are more often performed  than those of any other  playwright which  is also translated into many major language existing in the world .

William Shakespeare was born and grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was married Anne Hathaway at the age of  18 . He had three children , there name was Susanna and twins named hamlet and Judith. William began successful career in London as a actor,writer,and part owner of a playing company called the lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as King's Men. He retired to Statgord around 1613,was at the age of 49 at that time , he died three year later . Their is nothing more about his private life survive and there has been considerable speculation about such matters as his religious beliefs ,physical appearance,sexuality and whether the works attributed to him were written by others.

Between 1589 and 1613 most of the known works were produced.  Mainly comedies and histories were his early plays, genres he raised to the peak of sophistication and artistry by the end of the 16th century. Until about 1608 he has written mainly tragedies including Hamlet,King Lear ,Othello,and Macbeth .These are considered as the finest works in the English Language.He wrote tragicomedies in the last phase also known as romances and collaborated with other playwrights.

During his lifetime many of his plays were published in editions of varying accuracy and quality.The "First Folio" two of his former theatrical colleagues was published in 1623 , a collection edition of his dramatic works that included all but two of the plays now recognized as Shakespeare's

In his own day he was a respected,popular poet and playwright but until 19th century his reputation did not rise to its present heights.The  Romantics, in particular, acclaimed Shakespeare's genius, and the Victorians worshiped Shakespeare with a reverence that George Bernard Shaw called "bardolatry". His work was repeatedly adopted and rediscovered by new movements in scholarship and performance.Throughout the world his plays remain highly popular today and are constantly studied,performed and reinterpreted in diverse culture and political contexts .
